JZZ.js issues on Chromebook

Post by smrz2001 » Tue Jun 19, 2018 8:57 am

Hi sema,

I'm using JZZ.js version 0.4.0 in Google Chrome on a Chromebook and have been unable to see any MIDI input events. The MIDI device is detected correctly.

The same code is working correctly and consistently on both Windows and Mac machines.

Any ideas?

I played around with soundtrap.com on the Chromebook and it was able to detect MIDI input events perfectly. This site obviously uses a different library for MIDI I/O but this exercise proved that nothing was wrong with the Chromebook itself or with ChromeOS.

My next step is going to be to try with the latest version of JZZ.js but I wanted to see if you had any clue before I spent a ton of additional time testing with a newer JZZ.js.

Best regards.

Which version of JZZ.js are you using?
There were some WebMIDI API issues a few versions ago, but those should be fixed.

If you still have problems with the latest version then I'll have to buy a chromebook...

Thanks for the quick reply, sema!

I'm on version 0.4.0. Going to try version 0.4.9 over the next day or two.

Best regards.
