Re: New JavaScript library

Hi Sema, as with all of us I'm very grateful for your continued work. For lack of time I've been avoiding facing the changes needed to deal with browser changes. In the previous html/js solution I did quite a bit of work with jzz.midifile.js and (to a much lesser extent) jzz.midi.js, in order to imp...

Re: Jazz-Plugin in Windows 10

Hi Sema and others. Is there any progress on this? It seems the Windows world at least is becoming more awkward for your wonderful plugin. If not, James_Ingram mentioned WebMIDIAPIShim which I've looked at but don't really understand. Is this something that should be incorporated, and if so, how (Se...

Re: Tempo wrong in playback

I have emailed you a simple test MIDI file I created purely for counting beats per minute. With he bug it played at 128 BPM. Fixed, it plays at exactly 116 BPM.

Tempo wrong in playback

I realised that my songs were playing at a substantially different tempo than other MIDI players, and indeed different to the tempo checked against the clock. I finally tracked down the problem, and there is a bug in your click function. Within the fragment ... if(e.status=='\xff\x51' && this.ppqn){...

Re: Writing MIDI file

Thanks once again, and of course you are right. The first draft of my project did everything in PHP (very inefficient for the user), but the final save can still be done in PHP, and it is already written and working. I was just wondering how far I could go in Javascript, while forgetting the obvious...

Writing MIDI file

Hi Sema and other watchers. I have almost achieved my goals of MIDI manipulation in Javascript, with this plugin at the heart. My final step is to write a new modified MIDI file. I am wondering whether you, Sema, or anyone else, has done this already. If it is already done then I have no desire to r...

Re: Reposition during MIDI play

I got it working by shifting e.t0 to current time - new time position. I had failed to take into account that the new time position had to be divided by e.mul in order to get the right time units. Works perfectly now.

Reposition during MIDI play

First I want to publicly acknowledge what I think is a brilliant job Sema has done on this MIDI solution. Credit where credit is due! It certainly suits my needs perfectly, it is robust, small and effective. I am placing MIDI file playback on a web page, and I'm showing a simple timeline slider (inp...
